2011

Sam and Sarah met at Indian Hills High School as Sophomore and Freshman.

2013

They shared physics class together where their friendship blossomed. Sam would say he was the better student.Sarah would disagree. They were (are?) quite competitive with each other.

2014-2019

Sam graduated from high school in 2014, while Sarah graduated in 2015.   Life took them in very opposite directions: Sam to Rowan University, Automotive School, off to Michigan, and then eventually back to NJ. Sarah to Rider University, then home to Bergen Community College, and finally cosmetology school.   Through the years, Sam and Sarah would occasionally reach out to each other, and have odd run-ins. Unfortunately, the circumstances always led to right person, wrong time.   In April of 2019, they crossed paths while working next door to each other, and rekindled their friendship. In May of 2019, life separated them one last time. It gave them the time to finish growing separately, to become the kind of people who could finally meet each other as equals.

2020

At the end of 2020, they reconnected, and with all obstacles, and ill-timed run-ins in the past, Sam made his move and swept Sarah off her feet.

2021

March 22, 2021 Sam officially asked Sarah to be his girlfriend.   The next four and a half years were filled with joy, laughter, and most of all, love.

2025

On September 13th, Sam orchestrated and executed a day that made Sarah feel so special, she couldn't have dreamed up a more loving proposal. The day began with them grabbing breakfast from a favorite local restaurant. Then to home where Sam built in hours of time for Sarah to get ready for date night (the ultimate love language for Sarah). Their first stop on their love tour was to the beach, specifically Asbury Park- Sarah's favorite place in the entire world. Their next stop was to a park in Red Bank that overlooks the water- the very spot where Sam asked Sarah to be his girlfriend. Sam proposed at sunset, and Sarah said yes! Their last stop was dinner where Sam and Sarah's families were waiting to surprise Sarah and celebrate this next adventure.
